Well we made it! The last day of school for my crew was yesterday, and despite a year of strangeness and some serious struggles we all survived!
The kids are all out and about today for some grandparent time and next week is already booked with scheduled events, and it looks like its going to be a busy summer.
Yesterday I spent the evening at a Ladies Night out and had a surprisingly good sales turn out. I had set a very low goal in sales and ultimately crushed it.
My neighboring booth was manned by a delightful lady who was nice to chat with during the slow moments. She asked me a very interesting question. "Why Catholic, why not just Christian"
I was taken aback by this, most folks honestly don't seem to care when I speak about my goals for this business. So to honestly answer her, with out becoming defensive I took a beat and gathered my thoughts. Ultimately I responded with this Because I am a Catholic woman, and I am proud of my faith and I want to offer other Catholic women a way to share their Faith, Love of Jesus and Mary.
And it is so true. I am a convert to the faith from a fairly young age, but it was my choice. I was exposed to various forms of Christianity as a young girl and found my home in the Catholic Church. In the last two years, my faith live, my families faith, and my personal consecration to Mary have become incredibly important to me. They have grounded me, given me strength, guided me, and ultimately ( i hope) made me better. A better, Catholic, Wife, Mother, daughter, sister, friend, and I am so honored and excited to have a platform to share this with the world, and to offer to other women who share my faith.
Sooo Wrapping back around to the title of this little treatise. Schools out for the summer, my schedule is looking a whole lot of crazy and car time, but I will spend it with Mary and the Saints, finding my way to Jesus in amidst the chaos of my vocation, all while sharing my faith with all of you. Peace and Blessings to you all! K
